An AI language tutor
The morning you stop translating in your head, and the words are just there. That is the whole goal. Everything here is built to get you to it sooner.
Spanish, Latin, and Icelandic, with real morphological depth for the classical side.
You pick it up the way you picked up your first language: by understanding real things in context, over and over, until it stops feeling like translation.
Open a real text and tap any word for its meaning and a native pronunciation. The words you look up save themselves to your vocabulary, so what you remember is what you reached for, not a list someone handed you.
Hold a real conversation with an AI tutor that stays in character the whole way through. When you slip, it names the mistake by type (grammar, vocabulary, or syntax), shows you why, and keeps the conversation going.
Your sessions carry a thread. The tutor remembers what you have talked about and stays in character across conversations, so practice feels like one ongoing relationship instead of a cold start every time.
A short assessment places you on the CEFR scale when you begin. After that, every text, prompt, and correction is tuned to where you actually are, so you are never bored and never underwater.
For the languages nobody speaks
You are never going to order coffee in Latin. The reward is a different one: reading Catullus and Virgil in the words they actually wrote, with no translator standing between you and the line.
Most apps cannot really teach a dead language, so they fall back on flashcards. Interlinear runs a dedicated morphological analysis service, built on CLTK and Stanza, that parses every form as you read it: its case, its tense, its person. The same tap-to-understand reading you get in Spanish, for a language no one has spoken aloud in centuries.
Arma virumque canō, Trōiae quī prīmus ab ōrīs…
Morphology resolved by the Latin analyzer service
Each one with level-aware tutoring and native audio. More are in the works.
The short version, for anyone who cares how it is built. Server-rendered, multi-provider AI, and a real linguistics service behind the classical languages.
Pick a language, open something worth reading, and say your first sentence out loud.
